A PRP facial is a facial treatment that works by using the body’s own natural cell systems to rejuvenate your skin. During a PRP facial, we extract your own blood platelets and infuse them into your facial skin. We perform this process using advanced microneedling techniques to minimize discomfort and maximize results.
How Does a PRP Facial Work?
Microneedling is a process in which we make tiny lacerations in your facial skin in order to induce healing. The healing process brought on by microneedling stimulates collagen production, leading to firmer, more youthful skin. After undergoing this process, you can typically expect fewer lines and wrinkles, smaller pores, reduced scars and better overall skin texture. By adding or PRP, we can further stimulate collagen and elastin, optimize healing and make these results appear faster and to a greater extent.
What Is a PRP Facial at Bloom Med Spa Like?
After the platelets have been extracted, your Bloom Med Spa professional will commence the microneedling process. This process will inject the stem cells or platelets extracted deep into your skin. What Happens After a PRP Facial at Bloom Med Spa?
After your PRP facial is complete, you can expect redness and some tenderness similar to a sunburn for about 24 hours. We recommend that you stay out of the sun for this period to prevent yourself from exacerbating the condition. Once the redness goes down, you should be able to notice your renewed skin right away. We recommend 4-6 treatments, each at least one week apart, for optimal results.
